Sewer Line Replacement & Hydrojetting Project in Ventura, CA

Team Rooter Plumbing was called to a property in Ventura, CA after the homeowner noticed a severe main sewer line backup affecting the ADU unit located in the garage. Upon inspection, our team discovered that aging and damaged drain lines beneath the property were restricting flow, causing repeated blockages and drainage issues. To ensure a long-term solution, our crew performed a complete sewer line replacement and hydrojetting service, restoring proper flow and functionality to the home’s plumbing system.

Site Preparation & Safety Measures

1. Site Preparation & Safety Measures

Our technicians began by setting up protective barriers around the work area, ensuring safety and minimizing disruption to the home and landscaping. Utility checks were performed prior to any excavation to guarantee safe digging and compliance with local regulations.

2. Crawl Space Sewer Line Replacement

Under the crawl space, the existing deteriorated sewer lines serving the front restroom were carefully removed.
New ABS Schedule 40 pipes were installed to replace the outdated system, ensuring durability and long-term reliability. The new sewer line was then routed toward the exterior of the home for optimal drainage.

3. Exterior Transition & Connection

Once the new line reached the exterior, our crew connected it to the main sewer line outside the foundation. Each connection was made watertight, and all trenches were compacted to prevent future settling. Proper slope and alignment were verified to ensure efficient wastewater flow.

4. Garage Restroom Sewer Replacement

To access the garage restroom lines, our team saw-cut and jackhammered approximately 10–15 feet of concrete slab. After exposing the old piping, we installed a new ABS Schedule 40 drain line to service the ADU restroom.
The trench was carefully backfilled, compacted, and the concrete was poured back and finished to match the existing floor.
