Clogged Drain and Main line Pipe Repair in Carson, CA
We recently completed a comprehensive plumbing project in Carson, CA,. Here’s a recap of the work we did:
Spot Repair
For the spot repair we dug a small area in the front yard, approximately 3.5 feet deep, to access and repair a compromised section of the main sewer pipe. By tunneling under the concrete, we avoided any unnecessary damage. Once the pipe was exposed, we replaced the damaged section with durable ABS plastic pipe. We also descaled the cast-iron pipe using a hydro jet machine to clean it thoroughly. Afterward, we conducted a camera inspection to confirm the pipe’s condition. All parts and labor were included in the repair, and the warranty was determined based on the inspection results. We also provided additional rehabilitation for the cast-iron pipe where needed.
Mainline Pipe Repair
For a more extensive issue, we performed a trench repair on the main sewer line in the front yard. We dug a 10-foot-long trench, 6 feet deep, to access and repair the pipe. We carefully tunneled under the concrete walkway to reach the damaged section, which we then replaced with new ABS plastic pipe. After completing the repair, we tested the system to ensure it was functioning correctly. The trench was backfilled and the dirt compacted. We also installed a new toilet in the hallway bathroom and added earthquake straps to the water filtration system. This repair came with a 15-year warranty.
Additional Plumbing Services
We brought in a dumpster to remove all the sand and dirt from the site, ensuring a safe and clean work area. After the pipe repair, we backfilled the hole with slurry to prevent future sinkholes. We also installed two new bathroom sinks and inspected the grass, offering to replace it where needed.
Pipe Coating and Tankless Water Heater Installation
We applied a 3-inch coating to a cast-iron pipe under the house to protect it from future damage. After digging a small hole to access the pipe, we completed the coating and conducted a camera inspection to ensure everything was draining properly. This work included a 15-year warranty.
For the tankless water heater, we removed the old unit and adjusted the water and gas lines for the new system. We also installed a new electrical outlet and securely anchored the tankless unit to the wall. This service included a 5-year warranty and annual maintenance.
All parts and labor were included, and we provided a senior discount on the original price.
